Where's That From: My Fall Shopping List
In pursuit of the collarless blazer, suede shoe, and the perfect hobo bag
Trying something a little different and taking a break from subjecting you to my amateur and poorly-lit selfies. Which, just to be clear — yes, I get very self conscious about posting selfies all the time. When I do share, it’s usually after building up some courage, saying f— it, and just hitting the post button in a split second.
I was thinking about what to write for this week, and realized I never share too much about how I personally *think* about my wardrobe — mostly because I just keep track of it in my own head and I’m aware that people like to see how things look on the body with context and movement. I’ve stated this many times, but I truly am a serial outfit repeater. I love thinking through the ways I can wear and rewear items, so when I’m shopping I tend to approach things at a broader level that’s less brand specific: what’s the right boot shape, what’s the bag silhouette I’m looking for? So for this week, I’m sharing some broader categories from my Fall Shopping “List” (there’s no physical list) which covers the specific items I’m looking for, and then options I’ve bookmarked or screenshot for myself. This includes pieces I have either purchased personally or think are really good and worth sharing with you.
Would love to know what you think and if I should make this a recurring series every once in a while.
The Collarless Blazer
Ideally with a cinched waist, but I really like the simplicity around the neckline and think it adds that little bit of intrigue. Is it a top? Is it a blazer? Doesn’t matter; wear with jeans and nothing else and you’re good to go.

The Hobo Bag
I have a preference for the hobo bags that have a slightly more exaggerated trapezoidal shape to them, but still want it to slouch appropriately.

The Neutral Suede Shoe
A few silhouette options here. I think it’s more about finding a suede shoe that feels casual but still elevated — I want a suede shoe that’s versatile enough to wear with a beat up sweatshirt but also to pair with a nicer sweater. I think you can achieve that with any of these below options.

The Jewel Tone Ballet Flat
Looking for these these rich colors in a textured suede or velvet.

My very best,
Justine
