I don’t know about you, but I’ve mentally transitioned into a warmer weather mindset and I am patiently waiting for Spring to arrive. It’s not *quite* warm enough (by LA standards) but here are some of the pieces I’ve added into my closet in anticipation of higher temps.

Introducing Fillie
Ok. Switching gears to talk about my new project that I’m extremely excited about and will be launching in the next couple weeks.
If you’ve been following this newsletter since I launched it almost a year ago, you know I love styling my kids. And I think it’s fair to say it’s nothing insane — no high-end designer matchy matchy outfits with crazy price tags for my kiddos; just thoughtful brands and well put-together wardrobes. Being a mother is a huge part of my identity, and I’ve come to realize that dressing the kids is a way for me to organically combine all my passions. I think about their closets a lot like how I think about my own wardrobe, and that generally guides what I decide to spend money on. I care a lot about fit and materials, especially fit. If something is on the pricier side, I weigh whether I think it’ll wear nicely over time against how much time that may actually be (given how rapidly kids outgrow things). That’s why I love hand-me-downs and shopping second hand for the kids - it’s a great way to tap into quality and great fit without breaking the bank. There’s nothing like that perfectly worn dress from your mom friend’s older kids that has just the right amount of wear and tear, or the toddler jeans that have just the right amount of fade on them and are perfectly broken in for a 2 year old. It just brings me a lot of joy.
Which leads me to the introduction of Fillie, a hand-picked edit of pre-loved clothes (ages newborn-7Y, boys & girls) curated by me and my dear friend & cofounder, Annie, (who is also a mom and a fashion industry stylist). There will be a handful of really great vintage pieces, including the jeans below. I have been working on this concept for the last 6 months and it’s been a labor of love bringing this to life. We’ve put a lot thought into each edit and are only bringing you products we would personally put on our own children.
With that, I would be eternally grateful if you would do one (or more!) of the following:
If you’re interested in shopping our first edit next week, please sign up for the email list here. We’re giving early email subscribers first access to shop the launch.
Follow us on the Fillie Instagram for sneak peaks as we get closer to launch.
Tell a friend! I know some folks are in buy-sell-trade groups on Facebook and other platforms, and we’d love to reach the communities you’re in, especially if they are geared towards kids clothing/accessories.
My very best,
Justine
